Getting to VIP Suites Oia
Hello,
We will be staying at the VIP suites Oia in Santorini this June. In the confirmation e-mail they sent us, they recommend that we take the shuttle to locate the hotel. It says that the keys will be kept at the Oia bus station...I would really like to find the place by myself from the port (We will be arriving by ferry) and I was wondering if anyone has a map or an idea of how difficult this is to find?

Only one road to Oia, so that part is easy.
But I'm confused as to how you plan to get there by yourself. Oia is about 20 kilometers from the port. Renting a car, taking a bus other than the logical shuttle they recommend? Aren't they saying you need to go to the bus station to pick up your keys?

The VIP Suites are managed by the Ecorama Holidays business office located in Oia's bus square. There's no way you can get to your room without going there first to get the keys and check in. How else were you expecting to unlock the door to your room?
You have a few different options to get to Oia from the ferry port. The cheapest is by bus. There'll be a ferry port bus waiting to pickup the passengers going into the main village of Fira. This bus costs 1.5 Euro. Take it to Fira's bus square and wait for the next bus to Oia (1 euro). Schedules are posted on the side of the little building there. The bus to Oia will let you out at the bus square right in front of the Ecorama office.
You can also take a taxi from the port all the way to Oia for about 25 Euro. The taxi will also drop you off in the Oia bus square.
You can take the bus into Fira and a taxi the rest of the way for 10 euro.
You can also pay Ecorama for their shuttle service, and they'll send someone to the port to pick you up.

There are now 2 roads to Oia, they've completed one along the far shoreline, although it's still a gravel road. It enters Oia along the cement road next to the supermarket and close to the bus square.

I guess what I meant to ask in my post is what are the ways to get from the port to the bus station? You have all answered this question (allbeit a bit rude I might add). I was just looking for a more original way then being picked up at the port and being taken to the hotel, I love taking the bus in new cities and exploring the countryside. Isn't that what travel is all about? Hmmm that's what I thought. Thanks.

Wow. Please point out what you considered rude here!
Was it several of us asking how you were planning to get there if not the bus that was recommended? Is asking for clarification considered rude where you come from?
Methinks you are more than a bit overly sensitive if you think this list of very helpful advice were rude!

The bus souds good to me! Thanks for the prices, I think that's out best bet. Has anyone stayed at this place before? I read the reviews on tripadvisor and booked, now I am having second thoughts as to how nice the place really is....
