I will be visiting Eastern Europe to visit former students this summer and need information on getting to Skopje. I have been advised NOT to go through Serbia [by a Seerbian] and I can't afford to go around through Greece. I understand that leaves the choice of the several Macedonian airline companies. Does anyone have and experiences to share? My other detinations will be Brno, Czech Rep. and Pecs, Hungary.

6 Weeks Traveling Around: Italy, Austria, Budapest, Paris

After a bit more searching I discovered that Austrian Airways flies between Vienna and Skopje. I also found the "url" for the Skopje Airport!
It is: http://skpap.mpt.com.mk/skpap.htm
Hellllllllllllllllooooooooooo.
I have just arrived from Yugoslavia last week, from
a three week vacation.I am both Serbian/Maced
onian due to exhaustion to many people i still refer
it all as Yugoslavia.
Listen i took a connecting flight from Toronto,Paris
Belgrade and drove to Skopje and let me tell ya
it was awesome.I don't know if your friend had
bad experiences or not.But let me tell you i think
the people over there are pretty much forgotten
about the war. There life and economy of Serbia
is slowing restoring itself...all and all pffft i don't
think you have nothing to worry about Serbian
people are very friendly and extremly sociable.
Just incase if you were wondering anyhow , i just
thought i would toss in my two cents.
