Getting from the airport to the hotel
Hi,
We (husband, teenage son and I) are arriving in Athens on 16th May from Cairo. We shall be staying in Arion Athens Hotel (Agiou Dimitriou 18, end of Kalamida street). What would be best way to go from the airport to the hotel (we will have 3 suitcases) ?
From Athens, we shall go to Santorini and Mykonos and return to Athens by Aegean Air. What would be the best way to travel from the airport to Acropolis Select Hotel (Falirou, Koukaki) ?
Thanks for the help...

I was curious about this hotel because I was just talking about going to Athens with a friend. I had a hard time with their website (probably my ipad) but there are many reviews on TripAdvisor.
The first review had this info about getting from the airport:
It was also very near to the metro stop Monastiraki with direct connection to Athens airport in about 40 minutes (8 Euros single or 4 Euros concession fee).

The Arion Hotel isnear Athinas Street and closest Metro station is Monastiraki.
From the airport all you need is to take the metro ( Blue Line) and get off after 40 min. at Monastiraki. It should be a 5 min. walk from there.
The Acropolis Select Hotel is in Koukaki, close to the Acropolis. Closest Metro station is Syngrou - Fix on the Red line.
You will take the Blue Line from the airport, get off at Syntagma Square and change to the Red Line ( direction Agios Dimitrios). Sungrou Fix is the second station after Syntagma, just walk the pedestrianized Drakou Street, turn right at Falirou Street and after a few meters you will see the hotel.

Thanks, Clausar, Cathinjoetown and parosblue
Since there are three of us, will it be cheaper to go by taxi ? How much would a taxi take ?
As we have luggage with us, we would not mind a little extra (as long as the difference is not too much).
