I have found a great deal from LAX to LHR but now need to find the best way to get to Prague or Budapest. Does one of the great fodorites have an idea. Im open to any suggestions?

According to www.skyscanner.net there are no budget flights from heathrow to either of those cities.
EasyJet flies Luton to Budapest and Stansted to Prague
Im am thinking now of flying from LHR to Munich or closer and travel by train into Prague-- Does any one have another recommendation.
Prague - Easyjet from Luton & Gatwick, BA from Heathrow & Gatwick, CSA Czech Airlines from Heathrow
Budapest - Easyjet from Gatwick & Luton, Wizzair from Luton, Air Berlin from Stansted, BA from Heathrow & Gatwick, Malev from Heathrow & Gatwick

When are you flying Greginlh?
You may want to check BA website--they seem to be offering sales including european destinations.
Good luck.
I found fares on BA this summer from LHR to Prague or Budapest for around $125 one way.
Thanks Im flying the end of November and foung flights from LAX to LHR on BA for 568 all in. I checked Easy Jet from Stansted to Prague @ 58LBS pretty good price and now will check with BA LHR to PRG
Just to point out that changing London airports is NOT to be recommended unless you have several hours (I'd prefer overnight) to do the trip. Doubly so when returning to the UK to take a long haul flight home.
Getting between airports isn't cheap & will soon eat away at all the savings you made using a low costs airline.
EasyJet flies to Prague from Stansted and Gatwick; not from Luton
I flew from Prague to Amsterdam on Czech Airlines. There are alot of flights from Amsterdam to London. Prague is not an easy city to get to from some European cities. I only needed a one-way ticket to Amsterdam and the price was outrageous. I called Czech Airlines - they told me to buy a round trip ticket which was much, much cheaper and then just not use the return ticket. I didn't realize that many times a one-way ticket isn't 1/2 of a round trip price.
200% agree with alanRow about avoiding airport changes, given extra costs and time.
Just checked BA website. You can find pretty good fare LHR-PRG for late Nov, around GBP46 one way incl fees & taxes.
It gets more expensive if you're flying out Fri and back Sun, given PRG is a popular weekend city break destination.
Hi ....
I managed to get £180 return in Business class for BA - Heathrow - Prague for late November. This was only booked a few weeks ago - so you should be able to get a far cheaper deal with BA in ecomony
