Getting from Downtown Paris to CDG-Terminal 3--Can Someone Help?

I understand there are at least two ways (besides taking a taxi or the Air France Bus)to do this:

The RoissyBus from Paris Opera which stops at all three terminals.

The RER which stops at Terminal 2.

How far is the walk from the RER stop to Terminal 3? I'd rather use the RER to avoid any traffic problems possibly encountered by the bus but if the walk between Term 2 and 3 is a hike (we'll have rolling luggage) then I'd just as soon take the bus.

Do you buy tickets from the bus driver? From a booth?

Thanks very much.

Hi Dukey,

There are shuttle buses connecting T3 to T2.

Thanks, Ira...yes, I found that out by rummaging around the CDG website and thanks for reminding me of yet another alternative.

I want this to be as painless as possible since it will have been a long day already, rolling luggage or not. This is one of those times when I am usually tempted to say, "Damn the cost" and grab a taxi.

There are two RER stations at CDG: CDG 1 and CDG 2 TGV. Get off at CDG 1. Take the pedestrian walkway to Terminal 3. (Sorry, I don't know what the distance is.)

I'd say - Damn, the cost - just get a taxi!

No need to go to T2 and then transfer by bus to T3. Actually, T3 is extremely close to the CDG1 RER station (300 yards).
