Yes, it's very easy. I forget the location of the ATM exactly -- but it's a Citibank ATM. There could be more than one. Probably at least two? I took money out at least two or three times when I passed through the airport a couple of times in June. Anyway the one I used is on the departure level.

There are many cash machines in the Athens airport, however, after just returning from Greece - i would bring some money in Euros (most banks in the US will convert currencey for you with a minimal charge) why risk not having it? Things in Athens have a way of not going as planned....

But you can always convert the airport -- I bet the fees charged and the exchange rates are comparable to if you convert prior to the trip. But if you find an ATM you get more favorable rates. That's the way I'd do it.

hi yclarke123
After you collect your baggage you exit onto an area with exchanges, shops and (I think!) two ATM's.
There are exit doors next to those facilites taking you right out to both the bus and taxi stance.
