GCT-Norwegian Coastal Voyage/Lapland/Hurtigruten

Has anyone done this tour with Grand Circle Travel? The itinerary sounds wonderful, especially with the pre-trip to St. Petersburg - and it includes several days on the Hurtigruten ferry, but GCT's own traveler reviews were pretty mixed.
We've done many OAT trips but never one with GCT.
Will the large group be a spoiler?
