Gatwick to Stratford Station
I am looking for the easiest and most reasonable ($) way to get from Gatwick to Stratford Station.
So far I have come up with - Southern train from Gatwick to Waterloo - then take the Jubilee tube line to Stratford.
Is this the best way? Most reasonable?
Thanks

Wow. This is great. Everyone is so helpful and quick with the answers. Thanks so much.
When I go to buy tickets, does the specific time matter? I am concerned if the flight is delayed, getting through customs and things like that.
I was planning on leaving an hour and a half from the scheduled landing time. Should I be worried?

Tickets you buy at Gatwick are not train specific - use on any train/tube
Oyster Cards cannot be used from Gatwick i believe but can once you get to Croydon (East Croydon) but then you'd have to get off the train and use the Oyster Card to continue - no big deal really - but if you are not traveling any more that day just buy the Gatwick-Stratford ticket.
Is there even a Gatwick-Stratford ticket or do you have to buy Gatwick-London Bridge then buy a tube ticket (in which case the Oyster Card would save you a few quid for that short ride).

There are no overnight buses from LGW to Stratford. You can get to Stratford using a combination of trains and night buses but it will be a very long journey. Don't know your plans - but getting a cheap hotel room at LGW (such as one of the Premier Inns) and traveling to stratford the next morning would be easier.

You don't use a train and bus by day. You get the train to London Bridge or Waterloo, then the tube.
You should use buses only once then tube's stopped, because the cross-London bus journey can be very slow - and you need to change.
Use the travel planner at https://www.tfl.gov.uk/plan-a-journey/, using the full postcode (as in something like E15 3JG) of your destination because the precise buses depend on where in Stratford you want to go.
Personally (and I'm usually downright sneery of people worrying about walking round London in the dark) I wouldn't suggest someone (especially a woman) got the night buses to a Stratford destination the moment they arrive in the city.
Night buses serve relatively few stops, and you're very likely to have to walk a way. Unless you're reasonably familiar with the area, you can't know for sure whether all that walk's going to be through well-lit streets with CCTV or reasonable foot traffic in the small hours. The chances of anything going wrong are slight - but even my wife's been mugged on suburban back streets she's unfamiliar with.

Flunneruk thank you for you help. I appreciate that. But I found a solution. I'll get a taxi with two friends of mine. so it will be easier and I won't have to change buses or trains or walk from one station to another . But I'll keep you plan just in case .If anything goes wrong. thank you again.

Even sharing -- a taxi will cost a FORTUNE. It is more than 50 miles. Count on at least £150.
If you insist on this -- then pre-book a car service. It will still be expensive but likely closer to £100.
