Gatwick Express

First of all, I would like to thank those of you who offered me advice on my recent trip planning to London this Summer. My friends and I have purchased our tickets and booked our hotel. The big part of the trip is taken care of.

Now the real fun begins...planning the day to day itenerary.

For those of you who have traveled from LGW to Victoria station, I know that the most frequently promoted transportation option is the Gatwick Express train which runs every 15 mins. My friends and I want to book as much as we can in advance, to avoid ques in the real touristy areas. I have heard a "rumor" that 4 people in a group only have to pay for two at the Gatwick Express.

Can this be confirmed? If so, I guess it would mean that we should buy our train tickets at LGW when we arrive.

I dont know about the 4 for 2 deal, but you dont have to stand in line for the Gatwick Express tickets. You can buy them on board for the same price as buying them at the station...they just come to your seat and you can pay using credit card, cash or debit. It may be cheaper to buy online in advance, I've never checked...

I just saw the deal available. I am sure that if the tickets are purchased on site that there will not be a problem.

I did not see how the 4-for-2 offer worked with online bookings.
