I don't know anyone who has been scammed, but articles similar to this show up in the Norwegian rags from time to time. It's sad that "everyone" knows it goes on and nobody wants to do anything about it.

Intrepid - I'm not sure what exactly you meant by a typical passive-aggressive remark, but Kavos, in common with Faliraki on Rhodes, is infamous throughout Europe for attracting (mainly British) late teens and early twenties visitors who want nothing more from their holiday than to get as drunk as possible, as cheaply as possible and notch up as many sexual partners as possible. Sad, but true.
