Fussen: Kurcafe or Hotel Rübezahl
Any recommendations for either of these? Stayed at Hotel Sonne last time I was there and while nice, with a good restaurant, the rooms were a little tight.
Any thoughts or recommendations would be much appreciated. Thanks!

This info is a bit dated but I hope it will be accurate. We stayed at the Rubezahl for 10 days and thoroughly loved it, our room was a nice size and we had a balcony/terrace from which you could see "the castle". We also found it to be a great area for doing lots of day trips, very convenient. Oh yeah, this was 10 or so years ago. I know they do have a website that you might check out. Have a wonderful time.

We were at Hotel Rubezahl June of 2002. Loved it!! Our room had a door that led to an outside patio (2nd floor) that had great views of the Castle. We just stayed one night. We had an enjoyable dinner -- don't remember what we had, but if it was lousy, I certainly would have remembered. Nice spa packages also. Great Great breakfast.

We spent one week at the Hotel Alpenblick, a four star property located directly at the Hopfen lake, with a panoramic view of the mountains and royal castles. It is only five minutes from the town of Fussen and has a decent restaurant.
Our apartments had a huge patio looking directly onto the lake and to the Alps-
Wow doesn't describe the view.
Loved it so much we are going back next year.
