Fuel shortages Spain/France road trip June 16 ?

Jump to last reply

We are planning to take the ferry to Santander in a few weeks time, drive around the Basque region for a week and then take a week to drive up through France via the Dordogne and Loire regions to Caen to catch the ferry back to the UK.

The reporting about the shortages of fuel, especially diesel, in France has been concerning me and I wonder if anyone could suggest a website which gives a clear indication about the fuel situation. Everything I have found at present seems to me to be rather superficial in its reporting and, I suspect, sensationalist. I realise that the situation is always changing and that no-one can say exactly what is going to happen in three weeks time but I would like to be able to be able to monitor the situation before we go and whilst we are on the road.

Thank you for any suggestions - I do have basic French reading skills although a little rusty.
