We are don't want a taxi or transfer as they seem pretty expensive but is there a train route or regular bus from the airport to Manerba or nearby?
Thanks

Have you booked a hotel in Manerba? It should be able to tell you how to arrive using public transportation. It is possible that if you take a shuttle bus from the airport to the Verona train station, you can get a train from there to Desenazano del Garda, you can catch a bus from there, but maybe you need to go all the way to Brescia. Ask your hotel. If you are arriving at night, you may not have any choice but a car pick up.
I meant to type Desenzano del Garda. It is important to have the correct spelling if you want to look up the train schedule on Trenitalia. Sorry!
Great, thanks. Will email the hotel
If you take an R train from Verona to Desenzano, it will be about 4€ (25 minutes). The faster train (takes 20 minutes) is 12€. From there you would take the bus.

Great that sounds simple and cheap!
You would also need to get to from the airport to the train station. There's a shuttle bus (about 5€).
If you take a cheaper R train, be sure to validate your ticket before boarding.
