From Seville to Faro, Portugal and back to Seville on a rental car

Can I rent a car in Seville and go on a day trip to Faro , Portugal?

You can, but it would be a very long day trip. Perhaps 5 to 6 hours r/t.

Yes you can. But you have to pay the Portuguese electronic tolls before using them.
Journey time around 2.5 hours each way.

Why Faro from Sevilla? It's a two hour drive. I would head to Sanlúcar by train before seeing Faro by car.
