You can check out schedules and prices at www.voyages-sncf.com. There are several possible routes, the shortest being Osnabruck to Schipol and on to Paris - about 7 hours in transit.

From Paris to Barcelona, you might want to consider a cheap flight.

Well, it's possible you're being routed through Cologne, depending on which train/dates you're choosing. I saw trains going through Cologne, then downtown Amsterdam (those seemed to take about 9 hours) and then ones just making a single change at Schipol. But I didn't know what dates or times you were looking for. There seem to be a variety of routes, but if possible I'd take the shortest one - through Schipol; 7 hours is a bit of a long time on a train.

Would flying really work out?

I am trying to travel June 23rd bec my classes will be over but I did not expect to see such a high cost for a 7 hour journey. I guess I do not know much about this train thing, Maybe I should have got that eurail pass afterall. Thanks for your help.

I don't know whether RailEurope would have saved you any money, but if you'd bought your tickets two months ago, you'd likely have saved quite a bit. Water over the dam, though. Your best bet is to catch the 1:37 train in Osnabruck, which takes 6:22 to arrive in Paris and costs 100 euros.

I've never taken those low-cost intra-Europe flights, so can't speak to that, but you can check out what's available at www.whichbudget.com.

The fares start at 90-100 euros. That's not that expensive for the long distance.
Or you check the fares for the night train via Hannover at bahn.com.
It should start at 120 for a couchette, and you will have saved costs for one night in a hotel.

If you leave on 24 June you can fly from FMO - CDG on Air Berlin for $319 (Vayama).

Looks like a bad routing with 2 stops and 12 hours travel...but its probably the cheapest way.

Just take the x150 bus from Osnabrueck to FMO. I think its 10 euro. Takes about 30 minutes.

Better yet if you can leave 25 June its only 292 USD and a 9 hour trip (but 2 stops again). No overnights required.

Hmmm.. I still have time to purchase a eurail pass. I wonder if that would really bring the price down. I am a student and don't have a lot of money.
