From Nice airport to Nice Ville--Best option?

I've read that cabs are pretty pricey and busses can take a long time--what are my other options for transfers from the airport to the city?

There are 2 of us, arriving at 8:30AM on a Monday, each will have 1 rolling suitcase and 1 piece hand luggage.
Thanks,
Barb

I'm not certain what else you would want to do unless you hire a private driver.

But here's a link I found for bus, FYI:

You can easily find the inexpensive busses for city centre.

On the other hand, it is so much less stressful to go ahead a take a cab. You don't have to worry about where to get off the bus and what direction to go to reach your hotel.

May I ask where you will be staying? Perhaps your hotel can fetch you?

The airport is very near the city center so a taxi would be my choice. It's what we did arriving and leaving Nice.

If it was Paris I'd say take a taxi... in Nice I think that's the wrong thing to do. Take the bus 99 from the airport. It will cost 8 euros (for 2) and as you're boarding at the airport you'll get seats. It's only 20 minutes or so to the station.

A cab might be 40 euros or more... Nice taxis are notoriously expensive.

Airport express bus #99 runs every 30 minutes directly from the airport to the Nice Ville train station. It leaves Terminal 2 at 08:48 and Terminal 1 at 08:53. The next bus leaves at 09:18 and 09:23. You should easily be able to catch the 09:18/09:23 bus. The ride takes less than 30 minutes. To ride this bus you must buy a one-day pass for €4.00. You can ride all day across the Lignes d'Azur network with this pass.

We paid 30 Euro for a taxi from the airport to the city. It was a pleasant, fast and comfortable ride. Money well spent, IMO.

We took the bus. We bought the weekly pass that includes all rides from and to the airport. Where is your hotel?
