How old are your children? We were there in July this year for two weeks with our 13 year old daughter. It was very hot, but our apartment had nice cooling breezes on the balcony and roof terrace. Where will you be staying in Frigiliana? Will you have a pool? Nerja is very near, with nice beaches. The Nerja caves were "awesome" according to my daughter (and us!)

BettyB, hoped you would respond cause I saw your earlier questions. Children will be 5 & 8 yrs. Apt owner said that there are cross breezes. Apt complex has a small pool. I think the compex is Monte a mer...will check. Would love to hear all your hints and tips since this is a "first" family trip to Europe. will be happy to "talk" via email.

Hi there Susanh. I'm sorry but I didn't see your earlier messages until today. You were asking about a car. We hired a car, for the first time driving on the "wrong" side of the road (we're from Scotland). We could have managed fairly well without it, but it made getting to and from the airport very easy. We did not make a lot of day trips by car, and even took the bus to Nerja on a few occasions. The bus is very convenient (air conditioned of course). We took a day trip by car to Granada, and that was also very easy, and we went to Almeria to meet up with some friends. I'll send you some photos by e mail, and if you tell me where your apartment is, I can probably tell you what the surroundings are like.

BettyB, address is located at C/Axarquia 9. I think it is Monte Mar (Monta Mer?/ I don't have a Spanish dictionary) and it is in the "new" area. My email add is [email protected]. MANY thanks.

Hi there Susanh - I will e mail you some time this weekend with photos etc. Our apartment was in the new area too, but the old part is very near - it's not a big town by any means.
