Friends of Uffizi recent experience

We'll be in Firenze for two weeks in May and would like to go to the Uffizi at least twice and the other museums as well. Joining the Friends for 100E family membership seems like the way to go. We've hesitated because until very recently their website only updated sites until March 31, but now they're saying it's valid until May 31. If that's the case, we'll buy the family pass. Does anyone have recent experience that indicates that the pass does allow multiple entry and it's own entrance at the Uffizi that does not require pre-booking or waiting in line? I'll send the Friends a clarifying email, but it would also be good to hear of recent experience. Thanks again.
