Free train travel in Ireland for those over 66.

Ireland has introduced free train travel until Dec 2010 for visitors aged 66 or over. it applies only to the Republic. It covers mainline and DART trains. You can read all about it at www.discoverireland.com/us/ireland-plan-your-visit/facts/golden-trekker .The Irish rail website is at www.irishrail.ie. Trips worth taking include Heuston (Dublin) to Cork ,Killarney and Galway. Some of these routes can cost up to $100 otherwise.
