Ireland has introduced free train travel until Dec 2010 for visitors aged 66 or over. it applies only to the Republic. It covers mainline and DART trains. Trips worth taking include Heuston (Dublin) to Cork ,Killarney and Galway. Some of these routes can cost up to $100 otherwise.
