A group of us are taking a trip through France from Spain to Paris in July. We are only taking 2 days to get to Paris. Is it better to buy the train tickets in France than go the Eurail route? Also does anyone have suggestions on two stops on the way from Biarritz to Paris? I am considering going through the Dordogne and or Loire route.

How large is the group? We were twelve in Dijon, and by ordering the ticket 24 hours in advance, we got close to a 50% discount.
If a group discount does not work, try getting tickets from http://www.voyages-sncf.com/billet-train ninety days before the departure date.
A stop in the Dordogne makes no sense as you need a car to travel in the Dordogne itself.
You could stop in Bordeaux or La Rochelle, both of which are cities that are worth visiting.
