France: Sarkozy Voodoo Dolls a Hot Item...
at least after Pres Sarkozy went to court to block their sales, which, after the Court ruled against Sarkozy's request, according to a blurb in today's NYtimes, caused an avalanche of new sales.
the times says that Sarkozy was not amused by being 'poked fun' at with the doll made in his image and tried to get it off the shelves.
so those looking for a hot unique souvenir from France look for the Sarkozy Voodoo Doll, which went on sale Oct 9. It comes 'with 12 pins and a manual describing how to put a curse on him'.
Anyone seen the doll yet or bought one?

It's a shame that people feel they are entitled to essentially pray for something bad to happen to political leaders. It doesn't reflect well on the buyers.
It would be different if it was just intended as a tongue in cheek thing, but it's not.

I get the exact opposite feeling, that it is a tongue in cheek thing - especially since atheism seems to be the major religion in France these days - no one really prays for anything IME
