France in 10 days with a car

Heading to Sens for son's wedding this summer. Have seen the wonders of Paris and am seeking suggestions for 7 days after the wedding before heading back to Paris and flight home. My husband and I will have a car. Thanks for any help.

What about burgundy, it's a lovely region with wine, vineyards, villages with lots of charm...

I agree with Jamikins; From Sens, continue south into central and southern Burgundy, drink the wine, feast on the food and see the sights..

Hi spu,

Sens --> Auxerre (1 night) --> Beaune* (3 nights)--> Colmar** (3 nights) --> to Paris by train via Strasbourg.

* either stay in Beaune and Visit Dijon, or vice versa.
** or a smaller town in Alsace.

Enjoy your visit.

We loved Burgandy, but an alternative would be the Route de Vin in Alsace region. Very attractive small towns and good wine (not as good as Burgandy). Riquewehr, Colmar, you can find the rest on line. Also loved Yvoire and Annecy.

Returning to Paris via TGV from Strasbourg is a GREAT idea.

Just returned from 10 days driving through the Burgundy region of France. Thank you to all of you for your recommendations. After our son's wedding we did a loop from Sens, through Vezeley, to Beaune and back. Stayed at 3 old converted mills and a fabulous Chateau in Sainte Sabine that had just completed an entire renovation. On our second night we had the entire place to ourselves. Wandering the marble halls at night and playing billiards were great delights. I highly recommend it. We were surrounded by wine and champagne caves. And across the hillside we had a clear view of the Chateau Chateneuf and it's village. Another "must" to visit if you are near by. Now on to South America!
