France Hotel Reservation Center

Has anyone ever used this internet hotel booking site. They state that you can make the reservations free of charge. However, I am skeptical as some other hotel reservation sites in France state they charge a 6% commission. I can not identify any of that in the web site and was hoping for opinions.
This web site is digitalfrance.com/hotels
Thanks,
Ellen

I've just used it to book my stay in Paris in June. It seems pretty good- they quoted a good rate (lower than when I called the hotel directly) and came back within a day or two to confirm the booking.

We used this site last year to book a room in Paris for 2 nights in June. I was happy with their response and the price seemed reasonable for what we wanted and based on all the searches I had done. I printed the e-mail reservation just in case there was a problem, but when we arrived, all was in order. I would use them again.

I'm having trouble finding the digital france site. Perhaps the server is down. What is the correct URL?
Thanks.

Mark--try www.france.com. That should bring you to the site.

We just returned from a trip where we had used that web site to book hotels. Everything worked great. I also printed out the confirmations to take with me, but they had all of the information. I would also use it again.

Thank you for this website. I had been using franch-hotel-guide and was told the hotel I wanted was fully booked. When I asked them to get a reservation at any hotel in the 5th or 6th, they e-mailed me to go directly to each hotel. I searched fodors and found france.com. Not only was the hotel I orginally booked was available, but they made an instant reservation.

We've used them twice and everything went very smoothly. There was no additional charge for their service. We have two more trips booked through them this Fall. So far they've been very reliable - no problems at all.

I had a bad experience with them. I wanted a room for four at a certain hotel. They indicated on their site it was available. So, I booked it. Then, they said it was not available, and would find me another place. I called Comfort Inn, and they told me that they do not have rooms for four. So, I complained to France Hotel Res. and they said too bad. I had to pay their booking fee no matter what. I put up a warning on this site. I also filed a complaint with my Visa company, who subsequently refused to pay France Hotel Reservations. So, I personally, would not recommend them to anyone.
