France.. 12days Paris to Provence

Jump to last reply

I've previously posted on this topic.... However the flow of the journey did not seem to be working. It seems more logical to arrive in Paris and continue to the south of France. I would prefer to travel by train however I'm not sure if I will be missing out on the experience of Provence+/or the Cote de Azur.
My question is in 2 parts. If I only have a total 13days/12nights in France what is the best way to split up time(ie how many days in each of the 3 areas mentioned above or are they too difficult to access by train)and if traveling by train would establishing a base to do some day trips be a way to have a more enjoyable experience?(arrive 9/3 Paris depart 9/15 Nice)? ThankYou in advance for any feedback, it's very much appreciated.
