Fourfouras, Crete

Does anyone know how you would get to Fourfouras, Crete, from Iraklion, by bus?
I have found www.bus-service-crete-klel.com, but don't know how to decide which run it might be on -- or if you can get there.
Thanks

Fourfouras is connected with Rethymno since it is in the same prefecture, here is the timetable :

http://bus-service-crete-ktel.com/timetable.php

go to the timetable of South West Crete from Rethymno

On weekdays look at Rethymno - Amari which stops in Fourfouras
On weekends look at Rethymno - Apodoulou.

I got the information from KTEL in Rethymno

---Great; appreiated. Any idea how long it would take to get to Fourfourus from Rehtymno? Ie, on Saturday, if you left Rethymno at 14:30, about when would you get to Fourfourus?
Conversely, on your way back, (on a week end) the bus leaves Apodoulou at 16:00 Sat (15:00 Sun). How would you know when you’d catch it in Fourfourus back to Rethymno? (though I guess you could find that out when you get there; they must know in town )
Also – I’d heard the Amari valley was a good place to explore, and that Fourfourus was one of the only places with lodging. Know anything about that? (I haven’t found anything on the internet about lodging there.)

I am sorry i do not know much about Fourfouras, i have just been once there a long time ago.

As for more details regarding the timetable, you can ask either locals ( they know exactly when the bus stops on it's way to Rethymno) or the information desk at the KTEL station in Rethymno.

I have passed through the Amari valley, i wouldn't know what one could explore there... Having a car would be a plus judging by the not very frequent bus connections.
