For a nice 24 hours: Edinburgh or Glasgow?

Jump to last reply

I will spend about a day in one of these cities en route to visiting a friend on Skye. I'd like some agreeable sightseeing and no stress to speak of.

A perfect set up would be - a hotel from which I can walk or take a short easy taxi trip to a few great attractions, like a terrific museum or castle, or Charles Rennie Mackintosh spaces (I know, Glasgow for that).

In which city do you think I might have the pleasanter day?
