Font de Gaume Reservations Available Again

Jump to last reply

Hi, I have received so much unbelievable information from this site over the years that I wanted to contribute this for anyone unaware of the changes.

Font de Gaume is allowing reservations this year for only the last two tours of the day in advance (one in French and the other in English). The only way to secure tickets in advance for this tour is to request places by email (fontdegaume@monuments-nationaux.fr) or by telephone on +33 (0)5 53 06 86 00. Otherwise tickets are only available by queuing on the day of your intended visit.

I sent an email last evening and received an email back this morning confirming my reservations for the English tour at 4 pm on 6 May. I called the phone number (must call between 2:30 and 4 France time) and gave the delightful woman my cc number.
We are very happy we have been able to do this as we were afraid we would never be able to visit this incredible monument. Hope this is of help to someone.
Char
