Fodorites: How can I find out more about their culture? (is this message header OK, Gina?)

Or ar they all obsessed with politically correct phrasing of message headers on this board?

I doubt that many of them are thieves - - but I wouldn't be surprised to learn that a number of them are "scoundrels"?

What are the criteria for being labeled a scoundrel anyway? any chance this is recorded somewhere on my "permanent record"? And by the way, where is this permanent record they were always telling us about in high school, and how do I access it?

And a footnote to Dr. Fordor - - obviously I'm engaging in some kind of escapism from more important stuff I ought to be doing right now - - can you direct me to therapy?

Best wishes,

Rex

Dear Rex:

First of all, stay out of the middle of other people's issues. No, strike that. We all share the same issues, just have different ways of expressing and exploring them. If you're looking for therapy, try the Jungians. Perhaps they can help you understand your active archetype and they will not scold or admonish you for your time on the forum. I'm sure they see Fodors as a vast expression of the collective unconscious and your fascination with it a neccesary soulstrade toward self-understanding.
Best Regards,
Dr. Fordor

Huh?

I tried www.travlang.com but they don't list the language "Jungian".

But maybe you're only as Jung as you feel.

Check your yahoo e-mail.

Rex:

See what I mean? It's a "Jungle" out there. Whatever you say it can be interpreted by a million different people, from a million different sub-cultures, with a million different languages and a million different thoughts on proper and improper language usage.

Or, as our esteemed President Bill Clinton told us last year,
It depends on what the definition of IS is.

Gosh, Rex, if you were flirting with me...I'd just have to bat my eyelashes and flirt right back. (That's if I could figure out exactly how you bat your eyelashes anyway. Is it the same thing as fluttering them or is a whole new eyelash repertoire?)

Hey Gina,

Rex was obviously flirting with me... so lay off. And don't mention the word "bat" around him. I've been working with him on cultivating the blander side of his nature, so don't go ruining all the good therapy he's already gotten. I just might have to post a tackless and insensitive question about Vampire cultures. Now let me see...how should I phrase it...Curious About Vampires, Does Anyone Have Any Experiences They Can Share, or...Vampires...Where Can I Find Them in the South of France, or... Vampires, Do They Ever Migrate Toward Western Europe? Avice from Ornithologists Welcomed. Your help on the posting of such delicate subjects is always appreciated.

Now now. Betty, you should know the correct term is "undead American." Or "sunlight-challenged."

Rex-- :: bat bat ::

Gina

Thank God. You do have a sense of humor. I've been keeping my eye on the "Dirty Hotel Room" post. I expect you'll be checking in there soon.

With a Rush of Wings,

Betty

My wife just came in the room to ask why I was laughing so loud!

Gina: your "undead American" and "sunlight-challenged" phrases just craked me up.

Hey, nobody's answered the original question. One good place to find out more about their culture is www.dannon.com.
