Fodor Forum Valuable

It is interesting that when planning a trip to Slovenia and Croatia, you can find any number of travel books that will spend a lot of time on Croatia and just a little on Slovenia. If it wasn't for this site as well as some others I found searching on the Internet - planning a trip to Slovenia would be some what of a small challenge. Thanks to those who have offered advice - just 40 days to go until I start my journey.

Thank you for your kind comments!

FWIW, I thought the Rough Guide on Slovenia very informative. You might want to take a look at it.

I have traveled to Europe many times now, and have found this forum so helpful as well. People have been so willing to offer information and suggestions.

I remember once in Paris, I had a crisis of sorts. I posted a request for help, and had answers within minutes!

In Hawaii we say "Mahalo", which means a heartfelt thank you to all.

It can be, but then you get the very childish, emotional entries and responses such as the post regarding tipping policies. This forum also provides me with my daily dose of entertainment. I didn't need to be alive during Roman times, I can acquire all those thrills by just coming here.

I agree, if you discount such threads, valuable advice is readily available here.

Threads like tipping can be quite relaxing.
When you need a break... And it gives info on the posters.

On Slovenia, I'm surprised, we just came back from there and had excellent guides (in French).
Guide Visa was one of them I think, I suppose they exist in English.

Anyway, I'm sure you'll like Solvenia as much as we did.
Enjoy

Pariswat:

If that was a form of relaxation to you, then your day job must include being part of the Iran nuclear negotiations. More insults were flying in one afternoon than one year from my friendly, weekly golf matches.

Pariswat:

Would enjoy your definition of "selective."

However, I refuse to take a position on "tipping." Courage is not my forte.

Enjoyed "bantering" with you.
