Very early days of planning a 1-week trip to Grenada and Sevilla. We would likely fly into Malaga from the UK. Don't plan on having a car. Are trains the best options to travel among those 3 cities? Or bus?
There will be 4 of us (kids 14 & 11) during October.
More questions to come after I do some more research. Thanks.

Traveling by bus would be your best option.
lol, indy_dad, your mention of NOT having a car at Malaga reminded me of the time we hired a car there to drive to Granada, and proceeded to get entirely lost. finally when we weirdly found ourselves on an industrial estate, we very tentatively wound down the window to ask some locals how to find the right road, only to find that they were Irish!
I'd say that not driving is an excellent idea. but don't dismiss Malaga as a place to stay either at the beginning or end of the trip - it's a really nice and interesting place.
Malaga is a lovely spot...we took a fast train to Seville - 2 hours (better than the bus IMO.)
From Seville to Granada I would take the bus .
I assume www.renfe.com is the place to research the trains. What about the bus options?
As usual, it is going to be tough deciding how to split up our limited time.

The train is faster from Málaga to Sevilla (2h vs. 2h 45 min)

Malaga to Seville by train - http://www.renfe.com/
Seville to Granada by train or bus - http://www.alsa.es/en/ - the bus has more journeys per day,same amount of time as the train, but is not central to the city's interests.
Granada to Malaga by bus (there is no doubt)- train longer journey time with a change.
Or reverse.
