Flying from Beauvais to Trevisio
I am catching RyanAir for the first time from Beauvais France outside of Paris to Trevisio outside of Venice. I need help about how to best get to Beauvais from Paris. Some earlier threads have me anxious about a bus from Paris to this little airport. Also is it difficult to get a train from Trevisio to Venice? What are the costs of the transportation from Paris to Beauvais? What is the cost of the train from Trevisio to Venice?

Hi Elan, I cannot answer all your questions but for the information regarding getting from the airport at Trevisio to Venice I can.
At the Treviso Airport there is the STVo Eurobus Service. It cost $4.50Euro one way to Venice. The bus last stop will be at Piazzale Roma in Venice, where you can take the vaparetto to whereever you are going.

It will seem rather uncharacteristic of me - - as was true also on http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=34564458 - - to suggest a more careful look at train versus plane on this route...
...but in the post cited above, there was a fairly good analysis of time and money for the two modes of getting from Paris to Venice, by "yoonny".
Now... having said that, a lot of the factors that went into the analysis by yoonny are (perhaps) not true for your particular timeframe. For one thing, incredible bargain fares ARE available again on this route (at least, right this minute they are...) at 0.49 euro (yes, that is no typo), plus taxes at 17.91 euro for a total of only 18.40 euro. See Monday, July 11 for example.
And I think that the flight used to be mid-morning, requiring a wake-up call at or before 6 am (one of my objections to overnight train travel is the inability to "sleep in" if you should feel like doing that). BVA-TSF now leaves at 18:25 (the bus will leave at 15:10 to get you to Beauvais, so you ARE giving up a goodly chunk of your daylight activities time) - - and arrive Treviso at 19:55. This means getting to your hotel at, say... 9:30 pm. Thus, from hotel to hotel IS close to seven hours.
So, on the one hand, cost is potentially a no-brainer - - as I can NOT find a "PREM" fare on the Artesia for any dates in early July, for example - - lowest 2nd class fare is 105 euro...
But the times for this train are more favorable than some, in my opinion, if you want to avoid some "sightseeing losses".
I do NOT think you need to worry about hassle/cost of the bus service to Beauvais or from Treviso. Ryanair depends on these buses to get a large percentage of their passengers to and from these airports.
Best wishes,
Rex

Hi Elan,
Have you checked the Ryanair website, where it says "Treviso Airport"?
