Florida to Dubrovnik to Venice

Jump to last reply

We...2 senior adults...live in Sarasota Couny...west coast of Florida.

Our loose plan is...Miami to Dubrovnik around the 2nd week in June...for a sail around with family...then over to Venice for a cruise 6/27-7/4...then stay a few days in Venice before returning to Miami....or wherever.

Getting to Dubrovnik from the East Coast is proving to be a challenge, so I'm looking at Miami to London...but I haven't looked at fares yet...then London to Split...about $150 each....rent a car and drive down to Dubrovnik. I could look at flights out of NYC... But then have to add a flight from Florida.

Getting over to Venice from Dubrovnik for the cruise is another challenge. One way fares are $200-300 each.

A few days post-cruise in Venice.

Then back to the U.S..

We're looking for affordable fares that don't take 22 hours! Train perhaps? Any other things I should consider for the overall round trip from Florida? One way for each leg or bundle them through a site like Expedia?
Time is only an issue for the family Croatian Islands sail...3rd week of June, and the cruise...
6/27-7/4.
I'll appreciate any insight...we've only been to Europe once before...on the west side :)
