Florence-Honeymoon need help planning

Hey guys first timer here. I am seeking your help in planning my honeymoon for next year. It will be around August 6 and will be for a week. I know that this is not a good time to visit Florence because of the weather and that some places will be closed due to vacations(holidays), but this is where my fiancee and I would like to go so we are trying to make it work. Any help on lodging, food, activities, other places that we could vist etc. would be helpful. I am trying to not break the bank on this trip. I am budgeting $3,500-$4,500. Airfare is taken care of and does not need to be factored into the budget. I could go less than that, but I am trying to not go more than that. We are interested in anything (day trips etc. but we will not be renting a car). Thanks for all the help.

first of all, congrats on the weeding and congrats on finding your way here.

secondly, a few questions:

is the $3,500 -$4,500 for both of you? does it include food, spending money, transport [apart from airfares?]

for a honeymoon you presumably want a nice room, in the centre of Florence, and in August you will need AC- that probably means spending €150 - 200 per night. I suggest that you go to Trip advisor and use the facilities there to narrow down your choices.

then food and other costs - you are probably going to have to keep them down to €100 per day to keep within budget - not easy in Florence.

I would reckon on you spending at the top end of your budget, not the bottom.

Yes I was budgeting for both of us. The budget can go up if need be. Is there anywhere other than Florence that you would recommend? We are not deadset on spending the entire trip in Florence. Thanks again.

We found Venere.com to be a good site for finding hotel rooms, although I think I usually booked directly with the hotel after I had done my research with Venere.
