Florence Airport Bus Fare Increased to 6 Euros

The one-way fare of the airport bus between Florence SMN Novella train station and the Florence Airport (Amerigo Vespucci-Peretola) has recently been increased from 5 to 6 Euros.

Here are the details:

ONE WAY FARE: 6 Euros
ROUND-TRIP FARE: 10 Euros
DEPARTURE POINT: SMN Rail Station, across from the taxi rank in front of the station. Look for the "Volainbus" posted sign. The bus also stops inside the nearby SITA bus depot.
SCHEDULES: Every 30 minutes. Schedules are posted under the "Volainbus" sign at the departure point
FIRST BUS OF THE MORNING: 5:30 A.M. (useful for flights departing after 7:00 a.m.)
CHILDREN: Under ONE METER in height travel free if accompanied by an adult. (Maximum of one child per adult)
TRAVEL TIME: approx. 25 minutes. Can be longer during heavy traffic.

TAXI ALTERNATIVE: Fixed fare of 20 Euros during daytime (6:00-22:00) from Monday through Saturday. 23.30 Euros at night (22:00-6:00) and 22 Euros on Sundays between 6:00 and 22:00. LUGGAGE: One Euro per piece, up to a maximum of 5 Euros. Example: Total fare of 28.30 Euros if travelling at night with five pieces of luggage.
