Flamenco in October
We will be traveling in Spain and I'd like to catch a show or two while we are there. Are there any shows that are particularly recommended? We are complete novices. Days and locations as follows:
Seville: October 7-9
Granada: October 10-11
Madrid: 12-15
We have Alhambra night tour on the 11 so that may complicate catching a show that night?

The world's greatest flamenco festival (3 weeks, 78 concerts, 8 theaters) just ended in Sevilla last Sunday, and this concert long into Sunday night will for sure make it into the flamenco history books: http://www.deflamenco.com/revista/re...bienal1-1.html
But you could still see top of the shelf flamenco in all these cities. In all these suggested venues only great artists perform:
La Casa del Flamenco in Sevilla: http://www.lacasadelflamencosevilla.com/
Casa del Arte Flamenco in Granada:

And on all of your nights in Madrid, fabulous Belén Lopez dances in Corral de la Morería. Some weeks ago she won the most prestigious flamenco dance prize in Spain, the Premio Desplante: http://www.corraldelamoreria.com/espectaculo.html
Here she is during the semifinals: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pY37ipwd4lI

Just got back from seeing a flamenco show at the Casa de la Memoria in Seville. Amazing! Performers got standing ovation. If I am not mistaken the dancers were Almudena Serrano and Óscar de los Reyes. And after the show our dinner conversation kept revolving around the amazing experience we just had. Loved the show and the intimacy of the theatre as well. Highly recommend!

Glad to see you had a great might at Casa de la Memoria, minamax! When flamenco is at its finest, it stays for very long. Casa de la Memoria is top of the shelf, as is La Casa del Flamenco. You saw two fablous dancers, and the cante (song) and guitar (toque) is also of the best quality.

Óscar de los Reyes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjQrjuveEkI
Javier Rivera was probaly singing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7WN9lK9Jpc

Good to hear you had a great flamenco experience with top of the shelf artists!
Saray Fernandez "La Pitita" and José Nunez dance to the guitar of Rafalín Habichuela - from the most famous guitar Family in Granada los Habichuelas - and the song of Ivan Vallejo tonight at 7.30 and 9pm: http://www.casadelarteflamenco.com/es/

We also went to the Casa de la Memoria in Seville in July this year and had the best flamenco show ever! Passionate dancers, so talented and beautiful!
My wife was so impressed that she has even taken up flamenco dances afterwards.
