Flamenco event in Madrid on Thursday December 1, 2011

Juana la del Pipa and her Jerez friends perform at Villa Rosa in Plaza Santa Ana in central Madrid on Thursday Dec 1, a little after midnight. As raw and genuine as flamenco can be.

Villa Rosa used to be a serious flamenco venue since it opened in the early 20th century, and it's currently being revived as such, now staging some of the most brilliant traditional arists on the scene. Juana la del Pipa is one of a kind. Here together with late, brilliant guitarist Moraito:
