Flamenco concerts in Madrid
Ola; we will be in Madrid August 3 for about two weeks.
Previously saw Carmen as well as Rafael Amargo shows which were fabulous.
Are there any shows like that during the time we are in Madrid?
Thank you!

Great Belén Lopez dances in Corral de la Morería August 3-11. http://www.corraldelamoreria.com/

Misa Flamenca. Los Gitanos cantan a Diós (Flamenco mass. The Gypsies sing to God) in Teatro Bellas Artes August 3-14: http://www.teatrobellasartes.es/es/e...-cantan-a-dios
"Trailer": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UKIXkug3DFg
The program for August in Cardamomo is not published yet, but see if either Paloma Fantova or Macarena Ramirez dances on any of your nights. Both are excellent and dance here regularly: https://cardamomo.es/
Here Paloma Fantova tears down the house in prestigious Sadler's Wells in London a couple of years ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ck7hMzNH3b8
And just a matter of time before young Macarena Ramirez makes her massive breakthrough:

And Casa Patas is of course always excellent, over all the best tablao in Madrid, Spain and the world in recent years: http://www.casapatas.com/

And Belén Lopez only dances in Corral de la Morería to the 11th, because on the 12th she is in the semifinals in the 56th edition of the most prestigious flamenco competition in Spain, the festival de Cante de las Minas in Murcia: http://www.deflamenco.com/revista/no...s-minas-1.html

We booked Teatro Bellas Artes, Miss Flamenca by going to the theatre box office.
Check yelp for the ticket office hours.
Also plan to see Belen Lopes at Corral de la Moreria next week.
Will see if we can fit in more shows! Thanks again.

Sounds like a great plan. Paloma Fantova also seems to be dancing in Cardamomo on all of your nights: https://cardamomo.com/en/

Hope you saw Belén Lopez! Last night she won the most prestigious flamenco dance prize in Spain, the Premio desplante and 9000€ during the annual festival de Cante de las Minas in La Unión in Murcia: http://www.aireflamenco.com/noticias...n-en-las-minas
Here she is in the qualifying rounds in Corral de la Morería in June: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7f5dsphVTKA

Yes, we did see Belin Lopez at Corral de la Moreria. Great show.
Felt like a night club experience. Small dining tables.
Also was able to see Paloma Fantova. Wonderful!

Sounds like you've had some fabulous flamenco experiences in major flamenco cities Madrid, Sevilla, Córdoba and Granada!
And you haven't seen the greatest yet ;-) We can't wait to come back and see the malagueña Rocío Molina in Sevilla in a few weeks. She now does to flamenco dance what Camarón de la Isla did to flamenco song and Paco de Lucía did to the flamenco guitar back in the 70's and 80's. Here in Paris a couple of months ago, as powerful and beautiful as it gets, both with and without the Bataclan attacks in mind: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSRAgZFamSM
A portrait in The Guardian after the Bienal in 2014, "Rocío Molina: flamenco and beyond": https://www.theguardian.com/stage/20...-bosque-ardora
Intro to the yearly London Flamenco festival with all the greatest and most cutting edge flamenco artists on stage, such as Rocío Molina, Israel Galván, Eva Yerbabuena and Olga Pericet etc. Enjoy! https://vimeo.com/152302321
