First Time Solo Travel info
Hi folks
I am 26 and hoping to do my first solo travel in January for two weeks from the 1st of January to the 15th of January..
I was thinking of getting three countries into this Trip if possible with Germany my first country and what i was thinking of is to go to Croatia and Hungary
i am hoping to do this as cheap as possible eg(staying in hostels and traveling via trains/ buses) or even flights if cheaper
what i am really trying to find out is what to do in the countries as i am an adventurer and would love activities to fill my days i don't mind museums and history tours but i would also like more fun stuff like mountain treks where would i begin to plan a trip like this
also as a solo traveler is there any tip to know before going as i have never done it before eg(is it going to be a lonely trip mainly ?
any tips appreciated

Just a quick note right now: >>i would also like more fun stuff like mountain treks<<
You are traveling in the middle of winter so you may be better off sticking to cities. Mountain treks in the snow aren't advisable . . .

I’m not sure what, exactly, you want to see and do, but trying to fit all of that in to just 2 weeks will be quite difficult. I spent 3 weeks in Croatia alone, and felt that I was skimming! If cost is a concern, note the moving around a lot costs more than focusing on a smaller area.
I would strongly encourage you to get copies of, or consult, the Lonely Planet, Rough Guide, and Let’s Go -- they can each be very helpful to young, budget-conscious, adventurous travelers.
I’m a woman who is fully committed to solo travel. For inspiration, here’s a thread with trip reports from some of us who travel solo:

And yes, as janisj notes, you need to plan for winter weather. And winter hours (short days, long nights).
