First time in France!!! (Itinerary questions)

Jump to last reply

Very excited about my 3 night trip to France. This is my first trip to Europe. Here is my itinerary...would any of you like to make any suggestions/changes?

Arrive Sat. April 30th in London (originally going to stay there first until we remembered the wedding)! Waiting from the time the flight comes in until eveving to take the Eurostar as the tickets were MUCH cheaper. We get in at 10:15 and will be staying RIGHT by the Louvre. It's a 3 minute walk. Was thinking a night stroll might be good by the Seine, or maybe cross over to the Latin Quarter to take a walk.

The next morning we're thinking of just getting something from a bakery. I heard there is a neat gay/jewish district around that has a lot of jewish bakeries...can't remember what it's called.

The first day will be all the monuments and museums on the Seine. (Louvre, Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Musee D'Orsay, Notre Dame, etc.) We have reserved a ticket to the top of the Eiffel Tower at 7:30pm as the sun sets at 9, and I thought that would be a good time.

The next day we're going to Disneyland (and before you start, just know that we both worked at Disney in the states and got FREE tickets from friends, so we're going). That evening thinking of returning early and going to Montmarte for a picnic dinner overlooking the city. After that MAYBE Moulin Rouge, although I heard it's sketchy.

Last day we leave in around 4, so might be up for a little outing somewhere else in the city. Hoping to have a late lunch at a Restaurant called "Chartier" that was recommended by a coworker and then off to London.

Sound good?
