First Backpacking trip through Europe and my plans

Jump to last reply

Hi everyone. First time poster here. I just want to get any feedback from people I have at the most 3 months of travel time. starting at beginning of May until end of July when I need to be back for a wedding. I have $10,000 to spend plane tickets excluded. I already have my flight into Budapest to start. I want to know if people think i have a good plan and if it is doable with time and money. I dont want to be rushed but also want to see alot. I will be staying in hostile with shared rooms and eating alot of market and grocery food. I am sure i will splurge on food at some times, but not much. I will probably drink a decent amount, but not crazy for the most part.

I may stop in places along the way and change as I meet awesome people on the journey

Total of 1 month in these places

Fly into Budapest for a few days
Go North to Krakow Poland
West to Prague
SouthWest to Munich, Germany
South to Innsbrook Austria( I am not sure if this is a good route. still need to see my options)
East to Salzburg Austria
East to Vienna austria

5 to 7 weeks below depending on funds for below
Fly to Dubrovnik Croatia from Vienna
From Dubrovnik Take the ferry to Bari italy for a day
Hit up the heel of Italy area called Puglia(apulia) region
Head west to Naples
Head North to Rome
Head east for a couple days to Abruzzo region (50 miles east of rome)

Here is where the fun starts. If i got the money Im going back to rome and flying to greece. If i am running short on time and money. Im heading to Innerlaken and bern switzerland for a short stay before i leave

My only other thought is if i have the money instead of greece, is to go Amsterdam, belgium, paris maybe go south towards sicily

Thank you everyone in advance

Scott
