Firenze S.M. Novella to Piazza Strozzi

Hello All,

I have a tour booked in Florence that leaves at 9:15am from Piazza Strozzi and I am taking a train in from Rome to arrive at 8:06am.

1.) How (what bus) do I take from the station to Piazza Strozzi?

2.) How long will the ride take, do I have enough time to make the tour departure time?

I know I take ATAF bus line however I do not and can not find exactly were the Piazza Strozzi is located. All ATAF bus routes (on web) are in italian so I am kinda lost...can you help

Thanks in advance

You will have plenty of time, I don't think you need to use the bus. P. Strozzi is not far from P. Republica, on via degli Strozzi.

go to mappy.com, and put in Piazza Strozzi and it will show you exactly where it is. I would just walk it, I have never taken a bus in the center area of Florence, easily walkable.

Plenty of time. 10 minute walk... I assume you are without bags.

Before the tour I would wander down via Tournabouni and take in an espresso at one of Florence's fashionable coffee spots.

At the end of via Tournabouni is the Arno river and Piazza Ferragamo - very cool little spot to enjoy.

The Piazza Strozzi is located one block from via Tournabouni on via strozzi. Enjoy.

After the tour enjoy the best deal in Florence, 5 euro for a porchetta sandwich and wine:

Try the parsley relish.

What is "parsley relish?" Are you thinking, perhaps, of salsa verde? And where is this bargain porchetta place? Nerbone in the central market??
