FIngal's Caves

Hello Scotland Experts. I will be visiting Mull this May and I wondered if I could get some input on the boat trip to Fingal's Caves. There are several companies offering boat trips out to Fingal's caves and I am trying to sort the wheat from the chaff. I am sure some of you will have made the trip. Two factors, we will be spending 3 nights on Mull and then 1 night on Iona so we don't want Iona to be part of the boat trip. Also it seems to me from my reading that the best time to see Fingal's caves is in the morning, because the caves face east. I would really like to go to Longa as well but it seems all the tour companies that offer combined tours go to Longa first and therefore will not be on Staffa until the afternoon. Also I can't find anyone who actually offers dingy rides right into the cave. Any ideas out there?
