Figueres: trains and timing from Barcelona
We’re going to Barcelona for five nights in late May, and planning to take the train to the Dali museum on Sunday, May 28. I know that the Figueres station is closer the the Figueres Vilafant, but F V is only a little over a mile, and SO much faster with the AVE train (55 minutes vs 1 hour 40 minutes).
I see that RENFE has not yet loaded the schedule for May, but based on what I can now see, there’s an AVE train to Figueres Vilafant at 9:45 - arriving at 10:40; we would taxi the short distance to the museum. Online tickets for the Dali museum are limited to the time slots 11:00 - 11:20, and then again 12:30-12:45 - we would much prefer the earlier entry.
Is it a good idea to purchase these now (the Dali) - only eight are left online. This would be for Sunday. And do you think we’d need to take the earlier train (8:25 - 9:20) - are there cabs at the Figueres Vilafant station?
Thanks for your help!

I think IMDonehere has given you great advice.
FWIW – and I suspect it is very little! – when I visited Figueres in 2015, I followed instructions I had found somewhere – I know not where -- to buy my ticket for the Dali Museum at any Caixa ATM, which allowed me immediate entry rather than waiting in line to buy tickets. And that’s what I did. But I didn’t enter (by choice) until around 15:00. And of course, things could have changed since then....
