Ferries - to book ahead or not?

Hello all~

We will be in Greece/Turkey May 5 through May 18 and we are wondering if we should be booking our ferries ahead of time or would it be best to get there and make arrangements the day of?

Thanks in advance,

Uma

Last year the advice given to others and myself for travel in May was buy your tickets when you are there. We followed that advice buying our tickets the day before travel and it went very smoothly. We will do the same this May as well. Enjoy!

You can buy your tickets in Greece, May is not high season, and there will be plenty of availability, so there is no reason to worry about

What about high season, such as July?

Most of the time tickets will still be available, but some days/routes could be sold out. If you have a fixed itinerary it's probably best to prebook.

Hi, we are taking the ferry from Mykonos to Santorini in September and we pre-booked the tickets just in case.
