I rented from Rent Paris Now in 2006 -- I think it had a different name then. It looks like the owner has grown his business and now manages many apartments besides the one he owned. I rented the Marais Apartment on Rue Vieille Temple - which is on the ground level. That was my first apartment rental experience -- so I was nervous about it.

It was a fine experience, the only thing of note was that I broke the coffee maker glass carafe while rinsing it in the tiny sink. I told him and he deducted either 40 or 60 euros from the security deposit returned to me. It was a red coffee pot - so I assume he had to buy an entire new one to replace the coffee maker.

I have also not tried the mentioned one as I always go with my regular one http://lodjee.com whenever I had to stay in Paris. Also Greenface would surely agree with me that the apartments provided are really affordable if you are looking for a tight budget and delux one are also there, however I always go with budgeted one as most of the facilities I want always got with low prices one then why to go for more than that.

Hi,

greenface only registered last month and has done nothing but post about lodjee.com. njohn is also a fairly newly-minted poster whose English is as odd as greenface's when it comes to supporting lodjee apartments in Rome and now Paris.

In other words, ignore the advertising.

If you do a search on this forum and others for vacation rental agencies in Paris, you will come up with several names of ones used by many of the same people year after year. All posers have been very pleased with them. Some of those that are mentioned often are:
Paris Perfect
Guest Apartments
Paris Best Rents
Paris for Rent
Adrian Leeds
Renting an apartment anywhere does involve a tremendous amount of work/research. Be sure to read the reviews on any apartments you are considering and take a look at the street on which the apartment is located using Goggle Maps.

Zeppole, thanks for the heads-up, especially for the uninitiated, Is Greenface's name in honor of today's St Patricks' Day, or is it meant to cause discomfort and nausea among Fodorites?

for the OP--I and others here have used VacationinParis --mostly good reviews. Their prices tend to be lower than those of some others, eg Paris Perfect, if that is a factor for you (as it is for me).

I rented with Paris Rental Connections in 2008 and was very pleased. The apartment we rented on rue de Braque in the marais is no longer on their website, so I went with Paris Address the last 2 times I went to Paris (2010 and 2011). Again, that is a great company with a very big selection.

I used "Rentals in Paris" last summer and was extremely pleased. They are US based so it made it very easy to deal with them. They seemed conscientious and very responsive to emails, questions, etc. We rented the "Cardinal Lemoine" apartment in the bulding where Hemingway lived, and we loved it!

I am on my second rental with feelslikehomeinparis.com Couldn't be happier. If you rent from them, you also get half price classes from cooknwithclass.com
