feedback on cheaptickets.com??

I am flying to Eastern Europe in January for 4.5 months (Macedonia) and have begun to research ticket prices. So far, Cheaptickets.com is the least expensive way for me to get tickets to fly from Boston primarily on US carriers/code share (which I have to do - Fly America Act). Any feedback from those who have used cheaptickets.com before? I'd appreciate any info and thoughts. thanks.

I have used them 5 or 6 times but not in the last several years. They have been around a loooong time - the first few times I booked through them was long before there was a .com attached to the name.

I can't give you any recent feedback but they are a reputable company with a long track record . . . .

If you want some really useful advice you might start by telling us ALL the means you used to get ticket prices. Saying Cheaptickets "is the least expensive way...." as compared to what?

Did you also check on a consolidator site such as onetravel.com and on aggregator sites such as mobissimo.com, itasoftware.com, and kayak.com?????

I've looked at expedia, travelocity and other similar sites , as well as eufares and airlines directly.Never heard of onetravel.com and aggregator sites such as mobissimo.com, itasoftware.com, and kayak.com - that's why i posted!

bethrich -- I've purchased tix to Europe using justfares.com twice. They are ticket consolidators and you might want to check there. The only annoying "feature" of the website is that you can't book (yet) online...you have to request the total fare (price displayed doesn't have taxes) either by email or phone. It's not good if you want instant gratification, but it's just another place to check.

Hi bethrich, you might want to take a look at the June 05 issue of CondeNast. If you can't purchase it your local library should have it. There is quite an informative article in it regarding their results of finding inexpensive airline tickets.
