feast of our lady of good health
We are arriving at the airport Venice at 9:25 a.m. this sunday, which is the feast of Santa Maria della Salute. Do you think this festival will interfere with getting around that morning? There will be a pontoon bridge of boats across the grand canal. Will we still be able to take a watertaxi to the apartment we're renting, which will be near the Accademia Bridge on the san Marco side.
Any ideas?

It will be busy, but you should be fine.
The temporary bridge is after the Accademia (going towards S.Marco), close to the S. Maria della Salute church of course., and it is high enough that even vaporettos can go under it

I read your post with envy. We arrived last November 19th into Venice. Took a water taxi from the airport, down the Grand Canal and under the pontoon bridge to San Zaccaria. It was very special.
Later in the day once we got settled we walked from San Marco over the pontoon bridge to the Santa Maria della Salute to enjoy the festival. This part was very crowded with Venetians but we didn't care, it was a great experience.
You should not have any problem with a water taxi to the Accademia area. Enjoy!
