Favorites in and around Bordeaux

Jump to last reply

For those of you who have been, what are your favorite things to do in and around Bordeaux? I won't have a car. I'm planning to go in March 2017. This will be my fourth trip to France, but I've never been to Aquitaine. I speak intermediate-advanced French. I'll be traveling solo. I am not usually a tour person, but since I won't have a car, I am open to that so would welcome suggestions. Renting a car is out because I have nerve damage in my right foot so can't drive. I love history, museums, outdoor strolls, dining al fresco. Even rec's on hotels and restaurants appreciated. Thanks!
