Favorite French cafe near airport?

Does anyone have suggestions as to a great little cafe for breakfast near the airport in Paris. We have a 3 hour morning layover and need suggestions....Thanks!

Teresa66: Welcome to Fodors. Unfortunately re-posting won't get you better response from what you already got on your other thread

As was mentioned on that thread - w/ just 3 hours you will NOT have enough time to leave the airport. Honest.

There is a good patisserie and cafe at Terminal 2, upper level, by the TGV station, called Paul. Excellent baked goods and nice strong coffee. They are part of a chain. It is not a cafe with seating, just standup tables. There is also a similar place (not as good) at the RER station ,called Brioche Doree.

Agree that Paul is your best bet, but be advised that the train station can be quite cold at this time of year, so you may want to wander back to the airport section after sampling some of the excellent croissants etc. at Paul.

Another possible option: the Restaurant Les Saisons at the in-airport Sheraton Hotel, open early in the morning. Maybe someone who has stayed at the hotel can describe it. You also would need to verify that non-guests can eat there.

I think that you can stop in at the Sheraton for breakfast; I would say that the prices are quite high. They offer service in the restaurant and on the exterior of the restaurant at small tables in the lobby.

I don't know where you are from, but CDG is like LaGuardia, Newark, Dulles, O'Hare: big city airports and great little cafes don't go together. I suppose you could follow the workmen to a greasy spoon where they have a couple of glasses of rouge and a marc with breakfast, but I don't think that is what you have in mind.

I am glad to hear that there is a Paul's at the airport. It is reliable and likely to be better than anywhere else I have found there.
