Family trip to Spain: Barcelona, Seville and San Sebastian

Finally finished the trip report for our summer vacation to Spain. Family of four, two teenage girls, stayed in apartments and ate lots of great meals in Barcelona, Seville, Ronda and San Sebastian. https://rovingrichards.com/travel/spain-2016/

Great report and so many excellent photos! But if Bilbao seemed dead on a Sunday at lunchtime, it's because the whole world is in the medieval and vibrant Casco viejo/Old town eating pintxos and filling up the fabulous restaurants after the morning markets ;-)

I figured we were just in the wrong place on a holiday in Bilbao. Which is why it reminded me of San Jose, CA, same thing happens downtown there on the weekends and holidays!

Monica, I enjoyed your report and your photos. I am planning a trip to Andalucía and Madrid for October 2017. Hopefully, it should be cooler then. How long was the drive from Seville to Ronda? What was your favorite place?

Thank you for your trip report, MonicaRichards.
San Sebastian and Bilbao are on my must-list after all the things gastronomy I've read about them.

We just came back from a trip to San Sebastián and Bilbao a few weeks ago. Stellar venues, both of them, and OH MY! The pintxos! I will never forget all the amazing kinds of breads. Makes France look absolutely pathetic when it comes to bread, and that's hard to do.

There, I always thought French bread was the best...
Seems like I still have much to see and learn.
